How to check your pin size

Nothing is uploaded: the image is read in your browser.

Fix what's off

If the image is too tall, too small or the wrong shape, open it in our Image Resizer to get it to 1000 x 1500 in a few clicks.

Why pin size matters

Pinterest's feed is a grid of fixed-width columns, so a pin's shape decides how much room it gets - and whether all of it is seen.

  • 2:3 is the sweet spot. A 1000 x 1500 pin is the shape Pinterest recommends: tall enough to stand out in the feed, short enough never to be cropped.

  • Too tall gets cut off. Pins taller than 1:2.1 are cropped in the feed. The bottom of the design, often where the call to action sits, stays hidden until someone opens the pin.

  • Small images look blurry. Pins are shown on high-density phone screens. Below about 600 pixels wide, text and details lose their sharpness.

  • Landscape images shrink. Horizontal images fill the column width but very little height, so they're easy to scroll past.
